Hello Beautiful! Let’s talk about caring for your skin. The skin on your body is different from your facial skin and therefore requires its own skincare regimen. However, for most people, skincare below the neck is a matter of controlling dryness.
The most important tip for body skincare is to avoiding showering in hot water or cleansing too much (especially if your skin tends to be very dry). In the past, people bathed less frequently, but our modern keenness to eliminate all body odor has led to daily showering becoming the norm.
Since the body’s skin is almost normal to dry, the liberal use of moisturizers is important. The best time to apply it is immediately after bathing while the skin is still damp. Doing so will lock in moisture the skin absorbed during the bath. Be sure to apply the moisturizer very liberally to the arms and legs, which can be especially dry. On areas such as elbows and heels, use a heavy cream or use one that contains an alpha hydroxyl acid to refine the skin’s outer layer.
If you have dry skin, it can be improved by gently exfoliation. The easiest way to do this is with a mildly abrasive cloth or by gently using a loofah. There are also many body exfoliating creams or cosmetic scrubs in the market. Body skin is less fragile than facial skin so physical exfoliation is fine, just do not overdo it.
That’s all for now. Hopefully this helps for those days that time is not in your hands!
