After Sun Soothers

Hello Beautiful!

With spring upon us and summer right around the corner, I think it is time for me to share a few at home remedies other than Aloe Vera, that will sooth your sun burns.

Now, we all know that we shouldn’t spend a lot of time in the sun because the sun’s rays can be harsh on our skin. But, if you were outside for a bit too long and now have a burn, but do not have aloe, you can use the items listed below to ease the burn.

Here is a list of items that you can spread over your burn:

-Mashed cucumber

-plain yogurt

-Grated raw potato

-Cotton balls soaked in milk

-1 egg white beaten with 2 teaspoons of honey

Directions: Leave any one of these items on the skin for 10 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a towel; do not rub. Then to hydrate and have a longer lasting relief, put camomile lotion on the burnt area.

Hydrating the burn after is very important! Hydration helps heal the burn. So, if you don’t have any Aloe Vera in the fridge you may have one of these remedies that will help with your sun burn.

-Stay Beautiful-
